The Hazardous Site Response Act (HSRA) has complicated environmental compliance for property owners throughout the State of Georgia. Investigation activities associated with a property transaction can result in a notification requirement under HSRA . This process is further complicated by the State’s inflexibility during rule implementation. It is important for a consultant to possess both a thorough understanding of the rules and their clients’ long term plans for a property to develop a cost effective solution for environmental issues raised by HSRA.
