Hazardous Site Response Act

In the State of Georgia, the Hazardous Site Response Act (HSRA) regulates environmental concerns at properties that are not handled under the umbrella of the Federal RCRA and CERCLA programs.  This can include any property where organic or inorganic constituents have been released to the environment and the results could be a listing on the State of Georgia, Hazardous Sites Inventory (HSI).  Once on this list, getting off of the list is a time consuming and expensive process.  It is critical for a consultant to possess a thorough understanding of the rules and their clients’ goals for a property so that they may create cost-effective solutions for potential environmental issues raised under HSRA.
